WELCOME to the 2010-2011 Season

Dear Parents, Supporters, Cubs, Tigers and Senior Athletes,
 
Welcome to the new season. On behalf of the Ginninderra Tigers we welcome all athletes to the fun, family and fitness of Ginninderra Little Athletics. Your committee has been working diligently throughout the off season. We have prepared a strong business plan to promote the Club and Little Athletics in an attempt to grow our membership.
 
You will notice a couple of positive changes in our surroundings for 2010-2011. New throwing circles, new timing gates, new roll-a-doors on our shed and plenty of shade for our young athletes. We have also purchased a new sound system, new folders and high visibility tops for our marshals.
 
The Club has recruited 40 plus sponsors.  You will see the list of sponsors displayed on our notice boards and the season’s booklet.  We all need to support our sponsors and whenever you visit one of their outlets tell them that you are from the Ginninderra Tigers Little Athletics Club.  If you are aware of a business or individual who would like to support our Club, let me know and I will follow up.

Our major sponsors are MAGPIES SPORTS CLUB, BOVIS LEND LEASE, MONARO WINDOWS and WR ENGINEERING.  Support Sponsors are Kippax Fair Shopping Centre, Bellevue Building, ACT Tyrepower and Fernwood Fitness Club Belconnen.

WE NEED THE SUPPORT OF ALL PARENTS TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS IN 2010-2011. There are a number of tasks that have to be performed each week.  Setting up equipment, marshaling of athletes, recording results, running the canteen and BBQ, and packing away the equipment. There is a job for every parent and I will be asking every mum, dad and grandparent to assist us.
